The world of smooth rock just got a little quieter with the passing of Christopher North, the gifted keyboardist and founding member of Ambrosia. The Band That Blended Rock and Refinement
Formed in southern California in 1970, Ambrosia emerged during a musically experimental time when rock, jazz, and orchestral influences often intertwined. The original lineup—David Pack (vocals, guitar), Joe Puerta (bass, vocals), Burleigh Drummond (drums), and Christopher North (keyboards)—crafted songs that emphasized both technical sophistication and emotional warmth.
