This guide covers 52 major telecom companies worldwide in two categories: 40 network operators and 12 network equipment and infrastructure makers. The selection was aided by the 24th Forbes Global 2000 (2026 edition); no Forbes ordering is claimed, and every scale figure is the company's own published number, carrying its year. For every company the guide gives the same full field set: founded and a concise history; headquarters city and country and the published headquarters address; region and operating footprint; website; published leadership; specialties; subscribers or revenue, dated; and ownership. Where a field could not be verified it says so plainly in the entry rather than being guessed. The guide's largest documented finding is about contact itself: only two of the 52 companies publish a headquarters phone number, and only two publish a general contact email — Telkom Indonesia's investor-relations line and address, and Ericsson's media-relations line and address. The telecom majors route contact through web forms, country support lines and investor-relations portals; no unofficial numbers were scraped to close the gap, and the blank fields are printed as "Not published."

The roster has been reshaped by consolidation. Vodafone and Three UK combined on May 31, 2025 as VodafoneThree (51% Vodafone, 49% CK Hutchison), under CEO Max Taylor. Orange completed its buyout of MasOrange on June 8, 2026, and the MasOrange brand was retired that September. Verizon closed its Frontier Communications acquisition on January 20, 2026; T-Mobile closed UScellular on August 1, 2025 (the remainder trades as Array Digital Infrastructure); Swisscom combined Vodafone Italy with Fastweb; and Crown Castle sold its fiber and small-cell businesses, closing May 1, 2026, to stand as a pure-play tower company of some 40,000 towers. On October 5, 2026 BT Group acquired TalkTalk and PlatformX Communications out of administration. Leadership has turned over with the map: China Mobile filled its vacant chief executive seat with Chen Yangfan on June 16, 2026, and Ericsson's succession completed on October 1, 2026, Per Narvinger becoming President and CEO with Börje Ekholm remaining as executive adviser until June 2027. Every entry states its company's position as of October 2026.

NAMED GAPS

Headquarters phones and general contact emails are near-nonexistent industry-wide: two of 52 companies publish each. The two published contacts are Telkom Indonesia's investor-relations phone and email and Ericsson's media-relations line and email; every other entry prints "Not published" rather than an unofficial number. Ownership stakes flagged "(verify)" in individual entries rest on widely reported figures not directly extracted from an official source in this pass — among them stc and the Public Investment Fund, e& and the UAE government, Ooredoo and Qatar, Turkcell and the Turkey Wealth Fund, Singtel and Temasek, and Telkom and the Indonesian state. Samsung Networks does not break out standalone network revenue, and NEC and Samsung disclose network revenue only within broader segments, as their entries note. Subscriber and revenue figures mix fiscal 2025 and fiscal 2026 reporting calendars; each figure carries its year in the entry.
